1. Accreditation & Compliance Officer

 

Overview:
This role ensures that all training partners, assessors, and centers maintain compliance with EOSH UK’s accreditation standards, policies, and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accreditation lifecycle for training centers and partners.
  • Conduct periodic audits of training centers, reviewing documentation, trainer credentials, delivery quality, and learner feedback.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance frameworks aligned with ISO/IEC 17024 and awarding body policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of accredited partners and ensure all stakeholders meet eligibility and renewal criteria.
  • Investigate incidents of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions or suspensions where appropriate.
  • Provide ongoing support to training providers regarding compliance queries and requirements.
  • Develop and update internal policies and procedures related to accreditation and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies and report compliance status where required.
  • Deliver internal training on compliance standards and documentation practices.

Requirements:

  • Essential:
    • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Quality Assurance, Education Management, or Occupational Health & Safety
    • Minimum 2–3 years in a compliance, auditing, or quality assurance role
    • Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17024:2012 and vocational training standards
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills
    • Excellent communication and reporting ability
  • Desirable:
    • Experience with awarding organizations or regulated frameworks
    • Lead Auditor qualification (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 17024)
    • Knowledge of international accreditation and training center models.

 

2. Assessor (Health & Safety)

 

Overview:
The Assessor is responsible for evaluating assessments related to health, safety, and environmental management. They ensure that assessments meet regulatory and awarding body standards such as ISO/IEC 17024:2012.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate practical demonstrations, portfolio evidence, and written work against learning outcomes and assessment criteria.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to learning partners to support their progress.
  • Record and report assessment outcomes in line with EOSH UK’s internal quality assurance procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of occupational health & safety practices, legislation, and assessment strategies.
  • Support learning partners with guidance, motivation, and developmental feedback throughout their qualification journey.
  • Attend standardization meetings and participate in continuous professional development  activities.
  • Ensure all assessments are carried out in accordance with equality, diversity, and inclusion principles.
  • Collaborate with Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs) and external verifiers when required.
  • Uphold the integrity and credibility of EOSH UK’s qualifications and awarding processes.

Requirements:

  • Essential:
    • Recognized Assessor Qualification.
    • Occupational competence in relevant field (e.g., Fire Safety, First Aid, Environmental Management)
    • In-depth knowledge of current UK health and safety legislation and practices
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience delivering or assessing vocational qualifications
    • Strong report-writing and documentation skills
    • Good IT skills (use of e-portfolio systems, LMS platforms)
  • Desirable:
    • Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) certification
    • Experience working with awarding bodies or regulated qualifications

 

3.Curriculum Development Specialist (Health & Safety)

 

Overview:
This role focuses on designing, updating, and optimizing EOSH UK’s health and safety curriculum to ensure relevance, effectiveness, and alignment with global standards and industry practices.

  • Must be British

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design new qualifications and courses in areas such as occupational health, fire safety, environmental sustainability, and risk management.
  • Review and revise existing learning materials, lesson plans, and assessment resources.
  • Conduct needs assessments and research to ensure content is aligned with current legislation and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, trainers, and assessors to validate course content.
  • Develop digital and blended learning solutions where applicable.
  • Ensure all content complies with awarding body requirements and international standards.
  • Incorporate inclusive and engaging instructional design principles.
  • Create guidance documents for trainers, learners, and assessors.
  • Pilot new curricula and gather feedback to inform revisions.
  • Maintain documentation on version control, changes, and curriculum rationale.

Requirements:

  • Essential:
    • Degree or diploma in Instructional Design, Education, Health & Safety, or related field
    • At least 3 years of experience designing vocational education content or qualifications
    • Knowledge of curriculum frameworks, unit standards, and learning outcomes
    • Experience with SCORM-compliant content and digital learning design
    • Ability to interpret regulations and integrate them into course material
  • Desirable:
    • Experience in the safety or compliance training sector
    • Proficiency in authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Moodle, Canva for Education)
    • Familiarity with Bloom’s Taxonomy and other instructional design models
