EOSH UK Award in Hot Work Safety

The EOSH UK Award in Hot Work Safety is a specialist program designed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely manage and perform hot work activities in a variety of work environments. Hot work, including welding, cutting, grinding, and other heat-producing operations, carries significant risks such as fire, explosions, and exposure to hazardous fumes. This course equips participants with the ability to identify and control risks, implement safe systems of work, and comply with industry standards and legal requirements. Learners will also gain practical insights into emergency response procedures and the correct use of fire safety equipment, ensuring safe operations in workplaces where hot work is performed.

This qualification is assessed through:

  • Written assessments
  • Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs)

To achieve certification, learners must successfully pass both components with the required passing percentage.

The qualification has a recommended course duration of 3–4 days.

Note: The course duration may be extended to meet additional learning needs if required but will not be shortened.
